Support the Arts

I’ve always been fascinated by the fact that many of us that work at our local public library also have interests in various artistic endeavors in the community. Besides our love of books our staff also includes painters, potters, graphic designers, actors, singers, and writers. We all support the arts in our own different ways.

I am currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre and one of my duties is to help raise money for the organization. In order to do that very thing, I’ve decided to sell a desk calendar with original photos taken by me.  My goal is to sell 100 calendars or raise at least $500 for the theatre. If you don’t live here in Kalamazoo, but would like to help support the theatre arts you may order a calendar from my online Etsy shop . Of course, if you live in the area I can get a calendar to you immediately without ordering online.

The calendars sell for $15.00 each, or if you would rather not buy a calendar but would still like to support the theatre, a donation can be accepted instead by going to the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre website. Just be sure to put a note in the comment box letting them know that this is a fundraiser for Jill O.

Since you can’t take a look at the calendar in person, here are a few sample photos:
